| The year 2009 saw several changes in the film industry and the tone of glamour. Top in the list was the bikini mania that began in Bollywood. Though the audience has seen bikinis on screen before, 2009 saw several heroines and notable bombshells going for the ‘bare all’ act.
The fever spread to Tollywood as well but the truth is no bikini saved the film industry in 2009. Movies such as Drona, Punnaminagu, Siddu From Seekakulam etc saw many raunchy beauties showing off their hot bodies but that didn’t work a bit. So now, the film makers have decided that they would not get into the bikini act this year in their films.
Even the much hyped ‘Billa’ came in with a double bikini act but that also didn’t work. Many say that bikini is just a momentary visual delight but the audience has become quite aware so they look for content, technical aspects and other things before they certify it to be a hit.
